A kinder way to find your people

Our mission

Most dating apps are built to keep you swiping and to sell you the features that make them work. We think that gets things backwards. Souldaters exists to help people find partners and friends they genuinely click with, as calmly and safely as possible — and to do it without charging for the parts that matter.

We launched in 2026. We're a young, independent project, so we won't pretend to have millions of members or a wall of success stories. What we do have is a clear set of principles, listed below, and a product built around them.

Who Souldaters is for

Everyone aged 18 and over — and especially people who feel like an afterthought on mainstream apps. That includes vegans and vegetarians, health-oriented people, women who don't wear makeup, spiritual seekers, sober people, LGBTQ+ people, single parents, people over 50, disabled and neurodivergent people, people of every faith and none, and people united by a hobby, from hiking to books.

Souldaters is for friendship as much as romance. If you've moved to a new city, changed life chapter, or simply want someone to go running or meditate with, Friends mode is made for you.

What we believe

• Consent before conversation. Nobody can message you until you both like each other. That one rule removes most spam and a lot of harassment.
• Values over vanity. Tribes, dealbreaker filters and a compatibility score with reasons help you meet people you'll actually get along with.
• Free means free. No premium tier, no paywall, no paid boosts. Everyone gets the same app.
• Honesty. No fake profiles to make the app look busy, no invented statistics, no pressure tactics.
• Privacy by default. Profiles are visible to members only, exact locations are never shown, and you can delete your account at any time.

Why is Souldaters free?

Because paywalls make dating apps worse: they hide the people who liked you, limit who you can talk to and reward whoever pays most. We keep costs low by running a simple, efficient web app instead of an expensive ad machine. If Souldaters ever needs to earn money, it will never be by charging for matching, messaging, filters or seeing who liked you. We'll be open about any change before it happens.

How we keep it safe

Mutual matching is the foundation. On top of that: 18+ only, email verification, a verified badge you can filter by, block and report on every profile and tribe post, human review of reports, a filter for common scam phrases, and a daily like limit to stop bots.
